Suspect in custody after Wednesday night stabbing

A 24-year-old man is in hospital Thursday morning after an evening stabbing at a South May Street address. Police say at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday they were called to the residence, where they found a 24-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

A 24-year-old man is in hospital Thursday morning after an evening stabbing at a South May Street address.

Police say at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday they were called to the residence, where they found a 24-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

A 21-year-old has been arrested in conjunction with the case and charged with aggravated assault. He’s scheduled to attend bail court on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Police did not release either the name of the victim, who is in stable condition, or the accused.
