Police charged two people with impaired driving after a pick-up truck crashed into a decorative street lamp and a home on the city’s south-end early Thursday morning,
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the pick-up truck was being driven northbound on Simpson Street when it left the road after rounding a sharp corner. The truck crashed into a decorative lamp post, a large decorative bell and a house.
Police say the driver of the vehicle could not move the truck from the decorative bell, so a second driver tried to move the truck.
Police officers arrived on scene just as the second driver started to leave. The vehicle was blocked in and police officers charged both drivers with impaired driving.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
