Police arrested a Thunder Bay man in Sioux Lookout after a hotel front desk clerk in that community was robbed Wednesday.
The Sioux Lookout detachment of the OPP received reports of a robbery at a hotel just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say a masked man demanded money from the front desk clerk of the hotel.
The clerk then forced the suspected robber out of the hotel after an undisclosed amount of money was taken. The clerk was injured as a result of the altercation.
The suspect fled the hotel property, but let behind the hotel’s cash.
A 30-year-old Thunder Bay man was later arrested and charged with robbery, obstructing police and using a disguise with intent.
The suspect remains in police custody and is now awaiting a court appearance.
