Suspects sought in robbery

Police say two males robbed a Barb's Laundromat employee on Monday night.

THUNDER BAY – City police are on the hunt for a pair of robbery suspects after a Victoria Avenue East business was struck by thieves on Monday night.

In a release issued on Wednesday, Thunder Bay police say two males entered Barb’s Laundromat and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from an employee.

The first suspect was adult male standing about six feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He had a goatee and was wearing a dark baseball cap, a black zippered coat over a blue-hooded sweatshirt and black pants with white side stripes.

The second suspect, also an adult male, was between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a goatee. He was wearing sunglasses, a black toque, black pants, a zipper coat and dark shoes.

Police way anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
