GULL BAY FIRST NATION – A house fire on Gull Bay First Nation has been ruled suspicious.

Ontario Provincial Police, in a release issued on Monday, said an officer from Gull Bay First Nation Police and members of the Gull Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to the residential laze on Back Street in the Northern Ontario community.

The residence, which was unoccupied, was destroyed, but it was determined through the course of the investigation that an unknown person or persons had attended the home and deliberately set the fire.

The OPP have since joined the investigation and police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to phone the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

No one was hurt in the fire.
