THUNDER BAY -- A 65-year-old American citizen has been charged in connection with a Friday collision in the city's south side.
The Thunder Bay Police Service charged the man with failing to stop after the recreational vehicle he was driving collided with an SUV, flipping the smaller vehicle on its side.
Witnesses alleged a recreational vehicle driving northeast on McMurray Street struck a sport utility vehicle that was making its way west on Robertson Street. The strike pulled the grill off of the RV and smashed in both SUV passenger doors, flipping the vehicle on its side, and shattering windows.
Police report one 19-year-old male, who was in the SUV at the time of the incident, was assessed with minor injuries at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
