Swimmer's body recovered from Kaministiquia River

THUNDER BAY – The body of a 21-year-old swimmer who went missing on the Kaministiquia River.

Ontario Provincial Police say Duy Le was swimming on Thursday night when he went under the water and did not resurface.

Officers from the Conmee Fire Department, the OPP and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue attended the scene and were later assisted by the OPP’s underwater search and rescue unit.

Divers recovered the body on Saturday afternoon.
