WEST LOON LAKE — The swimming advisory for the West Loon Dock area has been lifted following water sample results from July 29, 2025, which confirmed that E. coli levels have returned to safe levels for recreational use.
The advisory was originally issued after a routine test showed elevated bacteria levels, prompting the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the Municipality of Shuniah to post warnings and restrict swimming in the area.
