THUNDER BAY -- Prices are slowly going down at Target with liquidation beginning Thursday.
Dozens of people were waiting for the Intercity Shopping Centre location to open. Lucy Piwowarski was among those early morning shoppers and said she found what she was looking for.
“Everyone was nice and friendly,” she told CKPR Radio. “No one was pushing, it was a good shopping experience and it’s sad to see that it’s going.”
But not all the deal hunters were happy with their haul. Many shoppers complained that the prices were higher than they expected.
Ashley Macrae said that she isn’t surprised that Target couldn’t do business in Canada.
“The sales weren’t as great as they were in the states so we found ourselves shopping there,” she said of her experiences with Target prior to Thursday’s liquidation sales.
All 133 Canadian Target locations are closing, which led to Target liquidating their stock.
