Tbaytel Invests in Good Neighbour and Good Schools Porjects
14 projects will build stronger and healthier communities northern Ontario
The Tbaytel for Good Community Fund today announced an investment of $10,000 in 14 regional projects across Northern Ontario.
The projects, which have been developed by volunteers, support Good Neighbour and Good Schools initiatives.
The winners were announced at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School, which will receive $1,250 for an after school art collaborative that will engage underprivileged youth from 24 remote Northern communities in an after school visual arts program in collaboration with Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

“Through today’s investments, Tbaytel hopes to strengthen local neighbourhoods and schools across the region through local innovation, ideas and volunteerism to contribute to their long-term health and success,” says Tbaytel for Good Community Fund co-ordinator Laura Foulds.
“The selection committee was extremely impressed with all the submissions we evaluated and Tbaytel is excited to now be able to work together with the winners to help make a real difference moving forward.”
Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School is thankful for the support from the Tbaytel for Good Community Fund that will go toward a unique project to benefit our students,” says Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School teacher Greg Chomut.
“We are excited to see the student art work that comes of it. Together we are providing a safe after school space for our youth to build confidence and express their creativity.”
