A classic children's tale was brought to life through music Wednesday for students at two local elementary schools.
It was music to the ears of children at Kingsway Park and Hyde Park public schools, as they listened to the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra's performance of Peter and the Wolf.
Music teacher Matthew Roy said his students have been studying the musical work throughout the year.
He thinks the students will be inspired by the live orchestra experience, and hopes it will instill an understanding of music at a deeper level.
Roy added that taking in the live performance and watching musicians play will bring the students a new perspective on music.
