Police have a 16-year-old boy in custody after a rash of vehicle break-ins early Thanksgiving morning.

The boy, who cannot be named under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will appear in court in early November to answer to the charges, which include being in possession of stolen property.

The incidents took place in the Valley Street area.

Police remind the public to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight to deter these types of crimes.
