A teen woman charged with first-degree murder last year in connection with an incident near Pickle Lake will go to trial.

The week-long preliminary hearing wrapped up Friday at provincial court in Thunder Bay.

Kecia Spade, 19, is charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 18-year old Mariah Wesley. The victim was found dead, lying in a street in the Michkeegogamang First Nation near Pickle Lake, in November 2009.

The judge determined this week that there is enough evidence to send Spade's case to trial.
Lawyers will meet on Nov. 24 at Superior Court to set a date for a pre-trial conference.

Spade remains in custody at the Thunder Bay Youth Facility.
