THUNDER BAY -- Some Grade 10 and 11 students at Hammarskjold High School were learning about one of the most important milestones of adulthood -- learning to drive.
The school was visited Friday by "The Sweet Life Road Show," as well as "Teens Learn to Drive.”
The two groups help teach the dangers and basics of driving.
The students learned about the penalties for driving under the influence, how to safely pass a transport truck as well as how long it takes for them to process alcohol.
Grade 11 student Julia Turk-Frenette says it's been a great learning experience.
Hayes says that almost 100 per cent of crashes are avoidable, if everyone knows what to look out for.
