Police charged two teenagers with robbery in connection to a theft and stabbing of a 16-year-old-boy.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers arrested a 17-year-old-boy and a 16-year-old-boy without incident in the Westfort area on Sunday. Police say the two boys allegedly stole $10 and an iPod from the victim in an alleyway outside a West Frederica Street business around 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Police say the two boys allegedly turned on the victim where a fight broke out and the 16-year-old was stabbed in the stomach. Paramedics took the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the boys knew the victim.
The two boys, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are expected to appear in court on Monday.
