THUNDER BAY -- There's a traffic reminder for motorists on Victoria Day Monday.

The 86th annual Firefighters Road Race will see Simpson Street. Fort William Road. Water Street and Marina Park Drive closed to vehicles for several hours while the race is completed. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and usually takes a couple of hours to complete.

Several side streets in the downtown south core will also be closed to traffic for the duration of the race.
