THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is thrilled to welcome The Dead South to headline Live on the Waterfront Aug. 16.

The Dead South is a four-piece acoustic ensemble from Regina, Saskatchewan, who blend elements of folk, bluegrass, classical and rock to create a unique, modern and authentic mixture of boot-stompin’ music.

Their most recent album “Illusion & Doubt” charted at #2 on the Bluegrass US Billboards and won Best Saskatchewan Album of 2016. Their debut album “Good Company”, first released in 2014, is making waves to this day and continues to climb the charts at #3 Alternative Albums, US and #32 All Categories Top Album in Canada, while their official music video to “In Hell I’ll Be In Good Company” has well over 20 million views on YouTube.

The Dead South will be supported by local folk and roots musician Kyle Milton Shushack, and the four-piece bluegrass band, Gibson, Martin & I.

Live on the Waterfront is presented by Ontario Power Generation and runs from 6 pm – 9 pm every Wednesday, from July 12 to August 30.
