Third Red River Road restaurant robbed

Suspect fled sandwich shop with undisclosed amount of cash.

THUNDER BAY -- City police are investigating a third reported robbery targeting a Red River Road eatery.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were called to the Subway Restaurant at the corner of Red River Road and Junot Avenue at about 7 a.m. Wednesday morning after a man demanded money from the female employee.

The suspect fled the sandwich shop on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin 20-year-old man with black hair. He was wearing a black toque with a grey long-sleeved shirt with a black and white plaid unbuttoned shirt over top.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
