Three arrested in month-long drug operation

Police say Operation Tenbury netted more than $122,000 worth of narcotics.

THUNDER BAY – A month-long investigation into cocaine trafficking has landed three men behind bars.

Ontario Provincial Police say Operation Tenbury led to several search warrants being executed in the city on Feb. 25, leading to the seizure of 365 grams of cocaine, 57.6 grams of crack cocaine, 60 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 165 xanax pills, 673 hydromorphone pills and 99 oxycodone pills.

Police say the combined street value of the narcotics is estimated at $122,775.

Albert Ramos, 37, of Thunder Bay, faces five counts of trafficking cocaine, two counts of trafficking methamphetamime, possession for the purpose of trafficking of cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Juan Pulido-Cueller, 25, of Thunder Bay, faces charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of oxycodone and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking.

Peter Deamicis, 49, of Thunder Bay, also faces charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of oxycodone and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking.

All three have been taken into custody and will appear in court on Thursday or Friday.

The operation involved OPP, Thunder Bay Police, Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and Anishanabek Police Service.
