Three busted on drug and weapons charges in Fort Frances

FORT FRANCES, Ont. – A trio of men faces drug and weapons charges after what OPP have termed a high-risk traffic stop in Fort Frances, Ont.

A 35-year-old man from Morson, Ont., a 29-year-old from Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing First Nation and a 19-year-old from Winnipeg were taken into custody in the incident, which occurred in the early evening on Thursday. 

All three have been charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking.

The three suspects were scheduled to appear in court on Friday in Fort Frances.
