Three charged following ice fishing hut break in
Police have charged three people with break and enter following an ice fishing hut break in near Marathon.
Officials with the Marathon detachment of the OPP say they were notified about an ice fishing hut on Nagagami Lake being broken into on March 7. Ice fishing equipment had allegedly been stolen during the break in.
After an investigation, police located and charged three men from Manitouwadge with break and enter, theft and possession of stolen property.
The property was seized and returned to its owner.
Police have not released names of the men charged.
The suspects have been released from custody and are expected to appear in a Manitouwadge courtroom on May 16 to answer the charges against them.
