Three facing drug charges after police seize cocaine

THUNDER BAY — City police arrested three people after seizing suspected cocaine from a south-side home.

Thunder Bay police said a search warrant was executed at a residential address on the 200 block of Amelia Street West on Thursday afternoon.

Three suspects were located and arrested.

Along with the cocaine, police also found cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Deshawn Brown, a 19-year-old from Pickering, Ont., is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Sheldon Daniel Ogima, a 30-year-old from Thunder Bay, is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order.

Damien Rossi, a 28-year-old from Toronto, is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

All three appeared in bail court on Friday and remain in custody with future appearance dates scheduled.
