Three people were wounded in the Cook County courthouse in Grand Marais after a 42-year old man opened fire Thursday.
The suspected gunman was a defendant in a criminal sexual conduct case, and was arrested and is now in custody in Grand Marais.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office said the three victims were hit by gunfire in the courthouse just after 4 p.m. central time Thursday.
One of those victims is County Attorney Tim Scanell, who remains in stable condition after undergoing surgery last night.
