Fort Frances, ON—Ontario Provincial Police took three men into custody on drug-related charges after a trafficking investigation in the District of Rainy River.
OPP said they apprehended the trio and seized an unspecified quantity of hydromorphone, an opioid, after stopping a vehicle on April 9 in Watten Township, east of Fort Frances.
The suspects, aged 45, 45 and 39, are all males and all are residents of the district.
They face charges of possession of a controlled substance for trafficking.
Two of the men were released from custody pending a court appearance.
The third, who was also charged with breaching a previous sentencing order, remained in detention.
