Three more COVID-19 cases documented in Thunder Bay area

Two of the three cases have been hospitalized seeking treatment.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has announced three more cases of COVID-19 in their service area.

The health unit on Wednesday said all three cases are located in Thunder Bay and surrounding area, with two of the patients hospitalized and one self-isolating.

A woman in her 50s and a man in his 50s are in hospital seeking treatment of the coronavirus. Their exposure category is still pending.

The woman’s episode date is listed as March 25, while the man’s is April 5.

The third case, a male under 20, is listed as a close-contact exposure and is self-isolating. His exposure date is April 2.

Flight details are not applicable at this time, the health unit says.

The latest batch of cases brings TBDHU’s total to 21. An additional six cases have been diagnosed in the remainder of Northwestern Ontario.
