THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported three new confirmed COVID-19 cases in its catchment area on Tuesday.

Two of the cases are in First Nation communities in the district, and one is in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate surrounding area.

Two cases are the result of exposure to an infected individual, while one has no known source of exposure.

The TBDHU also reported three previous cases have been resolved.

This means the active case count remains at 33, the same total as on Monday.

Six district residents with COVID-19 remained in hospital Tuesday, including three in the ICU.
