THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported three new COVID-19 cases in its service area on Wednesday.

All three patients live in the City of Thunder Bay or surrounding townships.

Two of the cases are the result of close contact with individuals already infected, while the third case is still under investigation.

Three cases that were diagnosed previously have now been resolved.

This leaves the district's active case count at 12, the same number as on Tuesday.

One district resident remains in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19.
