Three new COVID-19 cases in Kenora Region

There are currently 15 active cases in the Northwest Health Unit's catchment area.

KENORA, Ont. -- There are three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Kenora Region. 

The Northwestern Health Unit on Wednesday announced the cases, saying follow-up with the individuals who tested positive and their close contacts has begun. 

At present there are five active cases in the Kenora Region, and 15 in the Northwest Health Unit's catchment area. There have been 262 total cases announced by the NWHU since the pandemic began, with an additional six cases considered probable. Of those, 252 are considered resolved. There has been one death. 

There are also five active cases in Dryden/Red Lake, four in the Sioux Lookout Region and one in the District of Rainy River.
