THUNDER BAY – Three major regional events are getting a boost from the province.
MPP Michael Gravelle (Lib., Thunder Bay-Superior North) on Friday announced Thunder Bay’s Staal Foundation Open and the Festival of India, along with Schreiber Heritage Days are receiving funding from the Celebrate Ontario 2015 program.
“Our government is proud to support festivals and events because they contribute to the economy and create jobs right here in our region. The Celebrate Ontario program puts the spotlight on our region, highlighting our traditions for residents and tourists to enjoy and discover,” Gravelle said in a media release.
The amounts are listed below:
- Staal Foundation Open $87,120
- 6th annual Festival of India $22,342
- Schreiber Heritage Days $18,405
