THUNDER BAY - Three teenagers from southern Ontario facing drug trafficking offences will remain in custody as their lawyers continue to work on their bail plans.

Four teens from the GTA are charged alongside three men following a drug bust at an Ambrose Street residence on Sunday, May 24.

Three of the four teens made brief court appearances on Thursday, May 28, before Justice of the Peace Bruce Leaman and were remanded to future court dates as their counsel continue to plan for their potential release.

The teens were charged after Thunder Bay Police Service received reports of an Ambrose Street residence that had been taken over by a group of drug traffickers

An investigation resulted in the seizure of crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $9,000 and more than $5,000 in cash.

The teenagers cannot be named due to provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act that prevents the publication of their identity or any information that could lead to their identity.

The three youth face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime over $5,000, being unlawfully in a dwelling house, and mischief under $5,000.

Their co-accused, Javoi Elwood, 18, Brendan Bryan Gravelle-Soneago, 23 and James Waboose, 35, also remain in custody
