Thunder Bay-born Voices.com CEO to share secrets of business success

THUNDER BAY -- A business success story that began recording music in a Grandview neighbourhood basement 20 years ago is returning to share the tale. 

The Feb. 23-24 Digital Media Summit at the Valhalla Inn will feature Voices.com CEO and co-founder David Ciccarelli. Ciccarelli launched the company during the first dot com boom and his ability to innovate the century-old voice-over marketplace has catapulted him and the company to prominence.  

"Coming home to share what I've been up to with the business community of Thunder Bay is a humbling experience," Ciccerelli said in a release. 

"Weve come a long way and I'm looking forward to providing a framework on how to create a thriving culture fueled by the pursuit of excellence, dedication and innovation." 

Voices has been mentioned in the LA Times, the Wall Streett Journal and Forbes, celebrating the work it has done to help over 125,000 voice actors showcase their talent to more than 100,000 clients.

Car companies like Toyota, Ford and GM hve all hired Voices.com talent, s have television networks NBC, EXSPN, PBS, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel. Their work appears in high-tech products from Sony, Audible, Google and Microsoft. Even the United States government and US Army have tapped into the talent pool Ciccarelli has attracted.   

Ciccarelli will be speaking on attracting great candidates by focusing on vibrant company culture, outlining the story of how his company began and explaining the reasons for its continued growth.
