TORONTO – A Thunder Bay couple are $100,000 richer after a recent lottery win.

Gordon and Judith Bradshaw matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the June 18, 2022 Lott 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

Gordon and Judith, married for 48 years, say they've been playing the same Lotto 6/49 numbers for more than 25 years, which are comprised of significant family dates.

Gordon discovered their big win while at the store. "The lottery terminal froze, and I was shocked. I couldn't get my head around the prize amount," he said in a release.

Judith and her sister were waiting for Gordon to pick them up. "I was wondering where he was and started to worry about him. Then he showed up and showed us the printout of the prize. It was unbelievable," Judith smiled. "I would have thought it was a joke if it weren't for the printout!"

The couple plan to put their winning toward retirement, kitchen renovations and a trip to visit family in Scotland. “This is the icing on the cake,” said Gordon. “It’s an excellent amount to enhance our lives,” added Judith.

The winning ticket was purchased at Husky on Alloy Drive in Thunder Bay.
