Thunder Bay district COVID-19 caseload falls to 72

This is the lowest level in more than three months.

THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay has fallen to 72.

It's the smallest caseload since Jan. 12.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Wednesday reported four new cases, but 19 other cases were resolved.

One of the new cases is from household contact, one from another close contact source, one has no known exposure, and one involves travel outside Northwestern Ontario.

Three of the cases are in the city or immediate area, while the fourth is in a First Nations community.
