THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district has fallen to two – its lowest level since Nov. 6, 2020.
The health unit on Monday reported no new cases across the district over the weekend.
The TBDHU also reported that one case previously recorded as involving a district resident has now been removed from its case count.
This dropped the active case count from three to two.
According to the TBDHU, no District of Thunder Bay residents with COVID-19 are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences centre says it has one admitted patient with the virus, which indicates this is a person from outside the district.
In the Northwestern Health Unit's catchment area, which includes the District of Kenora and the District of Rainy River, there are no active COVID-19 cases at present.
