Thunder Bay firefighters attack fire on Boyko Road

Eight fire vehicles responded to the two-alarm fire.

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Fire & Rescue crews responded in force to a structural fire Tuesday morning in a rural part of the city.

No one was injured.

Firefighters were dispatched at about 10 o'clock to a property on Boyko Road, off Government Road, where they found a garage engulfed in flames.

Five pumpers, a tanker truck, an aerial ladder unit and a command vehicle responded to the two-alarm incident.

Crews attacked the exterior of the building to contain the blaze with multiple attack lines, and quickly brought the fire under control.

Damage was limited to the garage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
