Thunder Bay Horticultural Society encouraging residents to plant red flowers

The Year of The Garden is a Canada-wide event for 2022 and is encouraging everyone to plant red for our country's colour. 

On March 22, 2021, with the support of Canada’s Garden-Family, 2022 was proclaimed the Year of the Garden.

The Government of Canada has recognized 2022 as Canada’s Year of The Garden through a House of Commons declaration on June 21, 2021.

The City of Thunder Bay has a proclamation of the city website.
