THUNDER BAY — One of the most successful hospital fundraisers in Canada is experiencing a temporary glitch with a web portal, which is making it difficult for some people to purchase tickets.

The website provider for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation's 50/50 draw "has been having some problems, probably since yesterday afternoon," Kelly Arnold, director of engagement for the foundation, explained Tuesday morning.

"It's kind of off and on, so we have a point when some people can get in, but other people can't. It's kind of hit-and-miss right now."

Arnold said the provider is working to fix the problem.

In the meantime, she said, people can bypass the 50/50 landing page by going directly to the sales website to purchase tickets to the popular lottery.

Tickets are currently on sale for the October draw.

The winner of the September draw took home well over half a million dollars.
