THUNDER BAY — Moody's Analytics is painting a rosier picture for Thunder Bay-area homeowners planning to put their houses on the market in the next few years.

Using data from RPS Real Property Solutions, Moody's now predicts the price of the average single-family house in the city will increase at an annualized rate of 0.7 per cent between now and 2024.

A few months ago, the company was forecasting a slight drop in Thunder Bay house prices between 2018 and 2023.

The Saskatchewan cities of Regina and Saskatoon are the only centres among the 33 covered in the most recent Moody's report for which a price decrease is predicted over the next five years.
