THUNDER BAY — A couple of trips to Europe loom on the horizon for a Thunder Bay man whose Encore numbers came up in a recent Lotto 6/49 draw.
Costantino Di Giuseppe's ticket matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 4. draw, earning him a prize of $100,000.
Di Giuseppe, 77, says when he checked his ticket he first though he had won only $100.
When he checked again and saw $100,000, he said "I believed it but I didn't at the same time."
The retiree hopes to travel overseas sometime next year.
