Maclean’s Magazine has one of Thunder Bay’s rookie MPs on its radar.
The national political magazine names Thunder Bay – Superior North representative Patty Hajdu as one of the Liberal’s lesser known MPs who could have a surprising impact within Justin Trudeau’s yet-to-be-formed cabinet.
Hajdu defeated incumbent Green MP Bruce Hyer, high profile NDP candidate Andrew Foulds and well known Tory candidate and Nipigon mayor Richard Harvey to claim her seat in Parliament.
The Maclean’s Magazine article states there are “dozens of lesser-known new MPs with impressive and eclectic credentials, some of whom could also wind up in cabinet, leading influential parliamentary committees or serving as parliamentary secretaries.”
