Officials with the Thunder Bay Historical Society announced their plans to spread the city’s history across the region.
Members of the society made the announcement at the annual president’s reception on Sunday. The new exhibit will travel across the region in order to increase awareness about the Thunder Bay museum’s programs and services.
The program follows in the footsteps of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for a community resource officer. The two-year grant of $106,000 allowed the historical society to hire the officer in order to develop these new types of programs and tour the region. The society expects to fill the position by February.
