THUNDER BAY – Ontario Provincial Police have recovered a stolen Manitoba vehicle.
According to a release, police responded to a report of a theft of fuel from a business Wednesday evening on Highway 102.
Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway 17, east of Raith. A license plate check revealed the vehicle was stolen from Manitoba.
As a result of the investigation, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver and passenger without incident.
The driver was released from OPP custody and turned over to city police to answer to the fuel theft.
A Manitoba man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.
