THUNDER BAY – Residents of Oliver Paipoonge will continue to see Thunder Bay Police Officers in their community after a service's agreement was renewed.
Thunder Bay Police Chief Sylvie Hauth said the agreement to provide police services to the neighbouring municipality has been in place for 20 years, and brings in some additional revenue for the force.
Thunder Bay city council gave the agreement final approval at its Monday evening meeting. The Oliver Paipoonge municipal council and Thunder Bay Police Services Board had given their stamp of approval to the renewal earlier this fall.
