THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police wasted no time apprehending a suspect in a convenience store robbery over the weekend.

Officers responded just before dawn on Saturday to a 9-1-1 call from the Mac's store on North Cumberland Street.

The 26-year-old clerk said he had been held up by a man who got away with some cash after threatening him with a knife.

Police soon spotted a person matching the description of the robber and arrested him on nearby railway tracks.

A 21-year-old man faces charges of robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation.
