Thunder Bay residents arrested after Whitesand First Nation assault

ARMSTRONG,  ON — Ontario Provincial Police say the victim of a weekend assault on Whitesand First Nation near Armstrong suffered life-threatening injuries.

The individual was taken to hospital in Thunder Bay.

No update on the person's condition is available.

According to OPP, officers and paramedics were dispatched to the scene about 7 a.m. on Saturday.

A 22-year-old Whitesand First Nation man, a 19-year-old Thunder Bay man, and a 22-year-old man from Thunder Bay were all charged with aggravated assault.

The 22-year-old from Thunder Bay was also charged with failure to comply with a release order.

OPP are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
