Thunder Bay residents charged with drug trafficking in Sioux Lookout

Three local residents charged with trafficking, other offences after Saturday night

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont.  – Three Thunder Bay residents face drug trafficking charges involving cocaine and crystal methamphetamine after being arrested by Ontario Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout on Saturday.

In a press release Sunday, the OPP said it had seized approximately $19,000 worth of the illicit substances during a Saturday night traffic stop in the community, located nearly 400 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.

As a result, one 30-year-old woman faces charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking, possession (Schedule I), failure to comply with a release order, and obstructing a peace officer.

A man, 31, was charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

A second man, 63, faces charges of posessions for the purposes of trafficking.

All have been held and were scheduled to appear in court in Thunder Bay on Sunday.
