Congratulations to our Senior Starskate members Mary Furlong-Kelly and Ella Rivard for qualifying to the 2022 Skate Ontario Provincial Championships. This event is to be held in Mississauga at the Iceland Arena on March 24 to 27.
Furlong-Kelly (coached by Barb O’Brien) qualified for Star 10 Freeskate and Rivard (coached by Stacie Furlonger and Regan Delorenzi) for the Star 6 Freeskate. Both skaters qualified for the Star 7 Short Program.
Mary and Ella had outstanding performances this past weekend at the Thunder Bay Open Competition held at the Tournament Centre, their first competition in two years due to pandemic restrictions.
