Thunder Bay woman could claim $50K lottery prize

Ruled an insider win, Martha Burgsteden will have to wait until Feb. 11 before she can pick up her cheque.

THUNDER BAY – A Thunder Bay woman is one step closer to claiming a $50,000 lottery prize.

Martha Burgsteden will have to wait a few more weeks, before cashing a cheque, as her son is an officially licensed Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation retailer.

The claim falls within OLG’s definition of an insider win.

The $50,000 prize was won on a March 4, 2020 Ontario 49.

Burgsteden, who bought the winning ticket at the Metro on River Street, can claim her prize on Feb. 11, if there are no additional claims.
