IGNACE, Ont. – A Thunder Bay woman stands charged with impaired driving following a stop by the Ontario Provincial Police near Ignace on Thursday.

OPP officers from the Ignace detachment, responding to a traffic complaint, stopped the woman around 3 p.m. on Highway 17.

Following an investigation, police charged a Thunder Bay woman, 36, with operation while impaired.

The accused was served with a 90-day licence suspension and had her vehicle impounded by police. She is scheduled for an appearance in provincial court in Ignace in December.

In a release, the OPP warned they continue to use patrols and RIDE checks in random locations throughout the region to catch impaired drivers.
