THUNDER BAY — A Thunder Bay family will be doing some travelling in the years to come, thanks to a huge lottery win.
City resident Margo Pylypchuk won $2.5 million in the Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot on Oct. 26.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced Tuesday that her ticket was one of two that shared the $5 million jackpot.
The married mother said she was shocked after comparing her numbers to the winning ticket.
"I said to my husband, 'That can't be right.' We were both stunned."
Pylypchuk just recently started playing the lottery more often, saying "I chose my own numbers, and have been playing them for awhile."
Although she said "it hasn't really sunk in yet," she has plans to support some charities, travel and help her family with her winnings.
